Vladimir Skoda

The Czech sculptor Vladimir Skoda first appeared in the collections in 2010, before becoming the first guest of honour to take his place in Jacques Réattu's studio, dominated as ever by the Arlesian painter's unfinished masterpiece, La mort d'Alcibiade. The spirit of the place and the presence of the river inspired a custom-made installation - with photographs "grown" on the spot, videos, drawings and sculptures which spill out into the staircase and the entrance courtyard, attracted by the thorns of the Gleditisa...
